Lambs are born here on the farm in February. If you are looking for registered lambs,
you will need to contact us by March 1st. Unsold lambs will go to the Easter market.
All of our sheep wear Matilda coats year round to keep their fleeces are
clean as possible for our hand spinners. Jerry shears all our fleeces and does his best to keep out all second cuts,
and he will skirt as he shears. (Jerry is also an occasional spinner and appreciates a clean fleece.)We then put the fleece
on a large skirting table to finish the skirting process and to remove any debris that may have been picked up on the shearing
floor. Every effort is made to ensure the fleeces are as clean as possible and ready to spin. Fleeces are sold
on a first come, first serve basis.
I dye, spin, and process our fiber into batts for handspinners and felters.
We sell handspun yarn, as well as homegrown mill spun yarn in natural colors
as well as hand dyed/painted colors. We will also be selling cheingora yarn. 100% dog and dog blended with, or plied with,
wool.
We sell finished products as they become available.
I am offering my services now to spin your dog's fur. It has to
be clean and contain no chemicals. Contact me for my snail mail address and the kind of dog that you have.
