Our Company
Ewe & I Farm started with 3 sheep on an acre of land in 1993, after I learned to spin in 1992. From there we have
expanded to 35 sheep on 17 acres. We are looking to expand one more time with more land and more sheep, allowing us to retire
to full time farming.
Jerry is now the only shearer on our farm, having learned from our former shearer. His shearing education continues as
he observes other shearers, ask questions and shears multiple animals. Jerry also spins our fiber on occasion and has listened
to me comment on our fleeces and how the shearing jobs can be improved, so I trust him to do all our shearing. Other people
do also, and have requested him to return.
We can spin only so much of our own fleece, so whatever I do not sell will be shipped to Zeilinger Wool Company ( http://zwool.com) or to Green Mountain Spinnery ( http://spinnery.com) to be processed into yarn for us. I then take the yarn off the cones, skein it and dye it. We do sell it directly off the
cones for a discount, if you want to dye your own. At this point we have Double Twist DK weight from GM that makes the most
awesome textured knits (cables just POP with this yarn), DK and Worsted Weight 2 ply from Zeilinger's.

We do not have a shop on premises, but this is a pictures of our female 'employees'.
